My approach to design is guided by a sense of respect for the many distinctive elements that shape each project.

Every client brings a tapestry of personality, memory, and lived experience. Each home, in turn, is shaped by the existing architecture, and rooted in its geographic location.

Bringing these two worlds into conversation, the client and their space, is a beautiful, intuitive process. It’s about creating interiors that not only reflect the people who live in them but also elevate the way they experience their everyday lives. Being part of that transformation is something I consider a true honor.

about

I grew up in Deephaven, Minnesota, just 5 minutes away by car from the home where I’m now raising my children. At the age of seven, we moved here from a suburb of Chicago into a charming 1920s house that sparked my love of old architecture and timeless design. I endlessly redecorated my bedroom, much to my mother’s exasperation, only maybe subliminally aware that I was laying the groundwork for a future in interior design.

I loved my childhood home but dreamed of travel and craved new experiences. I left the Midwest for Upstate New York where I met my husband at Skidmore College. There I studied history and government. I’ve always been drawn to stories—whether in novels, in faraway cities steeped in the past, or in the imagined lives of those who came before us. That passion for history remains at the heart of my aesthetic sensibilities.

In 2010, I earned my MFA in Interior Design from George Washington University. During that time, I worked with a design and architecture firm specializing in boutique hotels. That experience deeply shaped my perspective. I’ve come to love spaces that blur the lines between home and hospitality. There’s something magical when a hotel feels like home, and equally when a home carries the luxurious ease of a hotel.

I specialize in balancing contrast–minimalism with maximalism, elegance with playfulness, darkness with light. I find beauty in tension and nuance, and I believe that’s where the most authentic designs come to life.

After stepping back to raise my three children, I’m thrilled to be designing professionally once more. I could not have anticipated how much perspective I gained over the past nearly 13 years of motherhood. Now, this work feels more meaningful than ever. I’d be honored to help you bring you and your family’s story to life through space.
